Amarillo armadillo control

We are experts in armadillo control, but are not your typical Amarillo, Texas animal removal company. We do not use poisons or repellents, since no bait works on armadillos, and poison is inhumane. In our armadillo removal process, we trap and relocate the animals. Since armadillos do not respond to bait, the key to permanent armadillo removal is to know exactly what type of trap to use and where to use it — a process that takes experience, which we have practiced and perfected over the years. We completely solve your armadillo problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several humane traps on your property - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all armadillos as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more armadillos caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in burrows and seal with underground fencing

What are some of the symptoms of a sick armadillo? - Armadillos are no different than any other animal when it comes to illness. Like all mortal creatures, these animals do get sick, and sometimes they have illnesses that can be spread to people. One of the most important things to remember about armadillos, and any wild animal, is that they mask their sicknesses well. Nothing in the wild screams "easy prey" like an animal that seems down and out, so animals are very skilled at appearing like they are fine even when something serious is going on. That being said, symptoms of an armadillos being sick could include odd behavior; the animal seems bold when it wouldn't normally be, or the animal is outside when it might regularly be hidden away. Other warning signs may include physical changes. The armadillo might be staggering, shaking its head, tilting its head, falling over, or it may appear extremely thin or have an unhealthy pallor. No matter what, if you see an armadillo that just isn't quite right, do not try to handle the animal or go near it.

We do not do traditional Amarillo pest control for armadillos, nor Amarillo exterminator services. We are a humane wildlife-only specialists, and we focus on burrowing animals.
