Knoxville armadillo control

We are experts in armadillo control, but are not your typical Knoxville, Tennessee animal removal company. We do not use poisons or repellents, since no bait works on armadillos, and poison is inhumane. In our armadillo removal process, we trap and relocate the animals. Since armadillos do not respond to bait, the key to permanent armadillo removal is to know exactly what type of trap to use and where to use it — a process that takes experience, which we have practiced and perfected over the years. We completely solve your armadillo problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several humane traps on your property - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all armadillos as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more armadillos caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in burrows and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

What are some ways to kill an armadillo in the yard? - Armadillos are flesh and bone, just like any other animal, so they do succumb to typical lethal tactics, like shooting and trapping. If you're not an accurate shot, and you don't know how (or have the license) to deal with lethal traps, you're going to have to call a professional. There is no other option. No matter what you do, don't be tempted to poison the animal with a commercial or homemade product. First, poison is a terrible way for any animal to die. There are a number of poisons out there, primarily used for insects, which people think translate to larger animals. Most of these toxins cause death by weakening the blood vessels and tissues, causing internal hemorrhage and organ failure. Even if you don't care about the suffering of an armadillo, you're not going to have much luck trying to poison one. Armadillos are not scavengers, and they won't eat a pile of bait just laying in the yard. If you leave such piles out, you're more likely to end up poisoning a neighborhood pet, harmless wildlife, or local children.

We do not do traditional Knoxville pest control for armadillos, nor Knoxville exterminator services. We are a humane wildlife-only specialists, and we focus on burrowing animals.
