Welcome to Sugar Land Armadillo Control! We are a wildlife control company specializing in the permanent removal of armadillos and other pest animals from your property in Fort Bend County, Texas. Armadillos can cause severe damage to your property by digging burrows. These burrows are dangerous when dug in places too close to your home or water/gas pipes. Removing too much soil from underneath a foundation can cause it to crack, and armadillos are capable of doing just that when making their burrows. In our armadillo control services, we use humane trapping methods and make sure to PERMANENTLY prevent armadillos from getting onto your property again. Call us 24/7 at 281-549-5124 to schedule an appointment the same day or the next. We aren't considered Sugar Land's best animal removal company for nothing! We are experts in armadillo control, but are not your typical Sugar Land, Texas animal removal company. We do not use poisons or repellents, since no bait works on armadillos, and poison is inhumane. In our armadillo removal process, we trap and relocate the animals. Since armadillos do not respond to bait, the key to permanent armadillo removal is to know exactly what type of trap to use and where to use it — a process that takes experience, which we have practiced and perfected over the years. We completely solve your armadillo problem by taking these steps:
- Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
- Set several humane traps on your property - the correct and safe way!
- Remove all armadillos as they are caught and monitor for activity
- Once there is no more activity and no more armadillos caught, we're done
- When needed, fill in burrows and seal with underground fencing
What Prices Do We Charge?

What diseases do armadillos carry? - When people think of animal diseases, they don't usually think of leprosy, but when it comes to armadillos, this is exactly what you need to worry about. Also known as Hansen's Disease, leprosy is naturally found in armadillos, and they are the only known animals that host the illness. While you can't contract leprosy just from being in close proximity, handling or eating armadillos will put you at risk. In addition to this rare condition, a small percentage of the armadillo population has been cited for the deadly virus, rabies. These major diseases are not the only health risks armadillos may pose; like many other nuisance animals, armadillos may spread salmonella. Aside from these more worrisome issues, tapeworms are another concern when living near armadillos; however, tapeworms are not easily spread from one large animal to another and tend to need an intermediate host (like a flea). That being said, eating raw and undercooked armadillo can transmit tapeworms to a human host. While tapeworms are one of the few parasites that do not intrinsically harm their host, they can cause malnutrition and serious health complications in the long-term.
We do not do traditional Sugar Land pest control for armadillos, nor Sugar Land exterminator services. We are a humane wildlife-only specialists, and we focus on burrowing animals.
